The one year old is in bed and the wife and older kid are visiting friends.  Ketel One martini with an orange twist, and that first heady sip is still lingering.

Really rough day at the office. Trying to get everything in order before leaving for vacation Sunday.  Conducted a mediation (the case settled), filed a law suit, answered discovery in another case, employed local counsel in Nevada for a client, answered phone calls, correspondence and e-mails, and did various other administrative chores. By 5:00 p.m., my nerves were shot.

So, I left it all behind for the next 12 days, came home, and mixed myself a Ketel One martini (shaken, not stirred).  Then I went out and mowed my lawn for some exercise and unwinding. Then jumped in the pool and cooled off.

Now I’m having a nice Woodbridge Cabernet.  A couple of melatonin before bed, and lights out. I’ll wake up to a new day.

Thank you, Dennis. I still plan to come north one of these days. I want some really good cheese with that beer I’m going to buy us.

Promises, promises.  Anyway, Merlot, chilled, will do. From that fine vineyard of Woodbridge’s chemical vats, as I was told by one vineyard owner, disgusted with my choice.

Lagunitas’ Wilco     Their jobless recovery ale.
                    Tango
                    Foxtrot

It’s not bad, but their Undercover Investigation Shut-Down Ale coming in at 9.78% alcohol is mighty tasty.

Hot buttered rum, from scratch, not that crap you get in a plastic container next to the swill passed off as “Margarita Mix”.

Johnny Walker Red Label Blended Scotch. Tacky, yet unrefined.

Personally, I have become involved with Skye vodka, V-8 juice, tobasco sauce, worcester sauce, cocktail onion juice, salt and frestly ground pepper.

Sounds like a bloody good drink, by Mary. Personally, I like a little celery salt in mine.

Loaded with vitamins and anti-oxidents.  the more you drink, the healthier you get.

A little won’t kill. A lot won’t kill you quicker.

had a client lay a bottle of johny walker blue on me, by the way, and it was really great, but can’t afford to make a habit of that.

Ah, the benefits of the practice of law.
