My son-in-law brought me some of his friend’s homemade Belgium Ale (nice amber color, sweet & smooth).  This was a great Christmas.

Staying in an adobe casita in Ruidoso, NM, for 4 days.  Had a Sierra Blanca Whiskey Stout at lunch with my fish & chips.  13% ABV - nice!

Everyone does, secretly.  Followed up that stout with some Makers Mark.

Chimay Grande Réserve

Still my favorite Belgian Ale after…I guess 20 years now.

I get a weekly produce delivery, half of which tends to end up in the juicer. Beet, pear, ginger and grapefruit being a particular favorite. It’s great for knocking the stuffing out and kick starting the day.

Ate at BJ’s tonight: Started with Maker’s Mark and a side of club soda, followed by Estancia Cab with my Ahi Tuna Salad.

Ciroc Vodka.  French, made from grapes.  Unique taste - very smooth, slightly fruity start, a bit harsh on the back end at first, but once you get used to it, it’s all good.  A friend suggested it to me. Worth a try.  First fruit-based Vodka I’ve had.  Usually grain-based.

The rains rejuvenated the mint in my garden, so I had a mint julep.

El Dorado 12 Year Old rum with a splash of water.  A friend gave it as payment for fixing her patio umbrella, and I highly recommend it if your palette is for sweet booze.

Again with the El Dorado rum.  And a Firestone Walker “805” beer.

Tap Out American Strong Ale. Not bad, hard to get 9.8% that is this easy to drink.
