At 54, as many as you can talk him into.

I give the same gift each year.

Same again then? I’m happy to chip in with half if you put my name on it too.

Looks like everyone outside the US is going to have to make up their own witty expression for using a specific day to smoke pot.  Whacha got, Martin?

Ever fall asleep with the fireplace channel on and wake up in the middle of the night thinking yer house is on fire?

Me neither.

Me neither.

Or with whale music on and wake up thinking you’re lost at sea?

Nope.

Nope.

I was able to sleep through my kids’ crying in the middle of the night, but not through my wife’s resentful jabs to my ribs.

I used to be sis-boom-bang about teaching but am presently disenfranchised from what has evolved into a post-education industry;  my body’s various holes are my damn-binary-business-not-yours;  I’m inclusive toward all marginalized groups yet I sometimes struggle to maintain a straight left margin while handwriting;  I currently reside on a 3-way corner, but my residential intersectionality has not yet generalized into my sexual proclivities, unfortunately;  and although I’ve never been diagnosed as such, I’m quite insane!

Yeah, but in a good way.

Notice the big deal in the news about debris from a Chinese rocket falling back to earth.

Meanwhile . . . https://www.baltimoresun.com/news/bs-xpm-1995-11-24-1995328029-story.html

quote:  “Like cars losing hub caps and mufflers on the highways, airplanes periodically shed objects such as aluminum skins, access panels, fuselage doors, red hot turbine blades, frozen sewage, and even whole engines.”

“Hurtling toward Earth at hundreds of miles per hour, such fall-out has punched gaping holes in roofs, crushed cars into pancakes, plunged into crowded swimming pools, smashed school desks, showered people with human waste, sent glass shards shooting through living rooms and set houses on fire.”

From the Department of Thank God Cruise Ships Can’t Fly:

quote:  “During a typical one-week voyage, a large cruise ship (with 3,000 passengers and crew) is estimated to generate 210,000 gallons of sewage; 1 million gallons of graywater (wastewater from sinks, showers, and laundries); more than 130 gallons of hazardous wastes; 8 tons of solid waste; and 25,000 gallons of oily bilge.”

https://www.everycrsreport.com/reports/RL32450.html#:~:text=During a typical one-week,25,000 gallons of oily bilge

What about when space tourism takes off?  Take it up, bring it down?

Yeah, but in a good way.

Maybe for the casual observer. Actually, though, I manage to have fun with it. It entertains me. Thanks, Skip.
