Saw it last night.  Tom Hanks and Emma Thompson turn in very solid performances.  Most interesting thing was the view of Disney as a person, not just the creator of Mickey Mouse.  Suggestion:  watch Mary Poppins again before you see Saving Mr. Banks.  It will make more sense.  Also, at the end, stay through the credits - they show something interesting.

No one knows what was said in the conversation between Disney and Mrs. Travers that convinced her to let the show go on in the end.  The film’s writers had Disney state an interesting philosophy.  Many people criticize the studio for “prettying up” or whitewashing history.  Maybe for Disney it was truly a survival skill.
