A new forum.  What would you propose as operational parameters?

Does gray hair mean wisdom?

Nah, gotta be totally bald.

BTW, no age bias on BB’s new forum platform, just over 13.  I suggested over 50 but was shouted down.

Your dog looked a bit sad, Dennis.  I’ve increased the avatar size from 65 X 65 to 120 X120.  If you upload it again, it should look the same as it does here.

BB, thanks for making this alternative forum available. I’ve bookmarked your site in the event this site goes down. I’m not putting too much worry into the demise of this forum yet, but it’s great to know there’s a place we can all meet if this site goes dark one day.

I’ve made some format/layout changes to Forums for Reason, looking for a bit more compact structure, but still easy to navigate.  I’m kinda winging it there, and would appreciate some suggestions as to what you would like to see and how you would like it arranged.

This is a sort of getting in on the ground floor, and to quote from a post from Lady Jane, “The prospect of building something, collectively, from the ground up is pretty exciting from where I stand.”

So, collectively, what do you want?  As I’ve stated earlier in this thread, I’m not doing this for me; I’m doing this for you.  If it works, fine, if it fails, fine, I’ll be satisfied with the effort in either case, and I’m giving it at least a year, so I’m not trying to rush anyone.  Just posting an update.

Having explored and making a few suggestions to bb, who did all the work and deserves all the credit, this forum site is ready for occupancy, if and as needed.  If we do “move” it still needs three moderators for further development and guidance.  A thankless job, so don’t ya’ll rush to do it.

It’s time to cool the jets. We aren’t going anywhere. Not yet at least.

Yeah. It’s looking pretty good all of a sudden. Like everything’s been streamlined.

Two new members and a couple of new threads started at Forums for Reason.  One of the new members we all know, the other is indeed new (to me, at any rate).

Halogirl/peacegirl recently completed a magnificent 2-stage performance here:

No doubt she’s looking for a new tenement to occupy. If I receive weekly payments, perpetually, of $500, I promise not to tell her about the new place.
