Just noticed that the second season starts up tonight, January 17 at 8:00 p.m. EST on the Space Channel.
I did my free 7 day trial a while back and watched all of season one, it was pretty good. I look forward to season 2 after it is over and I can binge it for $6.

This episode didn’t disappoint; it looks likes it’ll be another good season, and a few new renditions of some old trek ‘friends’. Heh, it should be worth the $6!

There is talk of a spinoff now.

Thanks for the heads-up ... I hadn’t seen anything about this spin-off. I really like Michelle Yeoh’s Georgiou character so would like to see a spinoff. I note at the bottom of the link that there’s also another possible spin-off with Jean-Luc. Looks like we’re lucky that this franchise may go where no one has gone before, i.e. syndication over millennia.
Star Trek a series that is, at best, more complex and mature than it was before - in a way that does not discredit the past and show that it can always change and grow; whether you are a 79-year-old man or a 54-year-old Franchise.
Season One of Star Trek: Picard was awesome. I am reluctant to say too much but, man, talk about getting the band back together.

I just binged it and season 2 of Discovery. It was well done, but still holier then thou with the standard death cult mantra “only death makes life worth living”...
I’ve recently went through the entire series, no regrets. I was supposed to go visit one or two of these houses in Greece and got a couple days off work for that reason, but well, there was a little issue with travelling abroad. I have the money aside and will come back next year, but I still had a couple empty days to fill in, and that perfectly did the trick (although it came with the downside of taking by storm the strategic reserve of cured meat and cheese I brought when visiting my family in France for Christmas, which was supposed to last for a longer time)
FInally ... Season 3 starts tonight at 9:00 pm ET on the SciFi (Space) channel. From the trailers, it looks like it’s gonna be a good one.
What a timely escape. I heard someone liken it to Firefly and Star Wars. Ahem…so…win win.

Yeah we can all use this escape to an even more distant future. That was great! A new and exciting strange new world to explore.
I enjoyed it too. It was funny when they blasted Michael with that truth serum vapour. The breakneck speed she went into reminded me of Millennials that post here like they were shot out of a cannon and have to say everything they have to say before hitting the ground.

Yeah, that was an hilarious scene - ya just gotta love her. It was also rather funny when she got vomited up by the creature.
Also, the environments, soundtrack, visuals, are stunning to watch.
