The difference between Buddhism and Christianity is that Buddhists do not recognize the existence of God and perceive his existence as being irrelevant to an individual’s beliefs and perceptions. They believe that a person’s will is paramount to guarantee the acquisition of the pure state -  the Nirvana. On the other hand, Christians believe that God does exist and acknowledge Him being their path to perpetual life and the source of everything. In contrast to Buddha who never considered himself divine and was equal to other people, Jesus stated He was the Son of God. Jesus resurrected from death after being crucified for humanity sins, unlike Buddha, who died similar to all mortal beings. So the main difference is the divinity of their initiators.

“I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one comes to the father but by me.”  -  Jesus

There’s been agreement among expert Christian historians that Christ was heavily-misquoted. ...as one instance of the widespread forgery that some say is rampant in the Bible.
