BB,

I don’t really know what you believe.

bbearren - 02 April 2017 12:21 PM

I believe in one God.

I don’t believe in a supernatural god.

I don’t believe in a god whose existence can be proven via objective evidence.

I don’t believe in a god who is actively, purposefully intervening in the lives of humanity.

I don’t believe that the bible is the literal, inerrant word of god.

I don’t believe that organized religion is reflective or representative of the god in whom I believe.

That is the god I’ve been talking about consistently in these forums.

Is that the god you’re talking about, or do you insist on confining my faith to your elephant?

Do you know what I’m saying?

Do you know what I’m saying?

yes

I do know that you know why you are being asked the questions you are being asked.

I would call that an assumption, not knowledge.

You’re a bright guy.

Another assumption.  Others here may well not agree.

Just like a lot of posters here, I don’t understand you.

My apologies; I do try to be succinct.

Your posts are often enigmatic; and I don’t know if you do that on purpose or if you don’t see them as enigmatic.

I do try to be succinct.

I agree with Gad, Skep, and Mr. Ron, to name a few.

Agree about what?  The Butt Fairy?  Library Science?  Sociologist’s surveys?  Agree about what?

Sincerely
The whale (aka “the elephant”)

Are you addressing Brick Bungalow?

nice try!

#42 in this thread:

I do pine for the real and hard conversation about god. It’s usually impossible. Perfection within imperfection is as a good a segue as I can think of. A lot to think about. I can’t really interject except to say that I feel the gravity of the issue and will meditate on your points.

bbearren or bb leaves little room for doubt that you are addressing me.  Other posters have used that to good effect.  BB is ambiguous, in that it has been used by a number of posters in a number of threads to indicate Brick Bungalow.  I have no desire to interject in Brick Bungalow’s behalf.

You are so predictable.  tongue laugh

In such case could it not be presumed that one in your profession should by now have gleaned sufficient insight into how to ask the right questions?

All beings are greedy, They expect something from anything, God is a easy place to turn into.
