Fascinating.  So true about us older folks only recording new events, thus making it seem like time goes faster.  So if you want it to slow down, try something new.

I think about this a lot. Is there some final arbiter for the passage of time? We can deduce, I think that personal perception is skewed by our preferences and propensity for distraction. The global function of time seems to be relative to vector and velocity. The actual principle of time is entangled with space. (these issues are above my pay grade) What is the final control?
