This clip is from 2014, but those darn Canucks know how to do a real tear-jerker. Screw you guys for being so darn nice! (I’m sure are glad to have you guys for neighbors)

I remember the news reports about this when it happened. I thought it was darn nice of Americans to appreciate the fun and goodwill of that spontaneous happening.
Hey neighbour, I’m all for perpetuating our nice image.

If we’re having a soccer match with Mexico, and their anthem gets cut off . . . we need to practice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39MwGC0jnEg

Sure, but it is a little more difficult when you don’t all share a common language.
But, perhaps y’all could start by learning the English version of ours?

First time I listened to the words all the way through. The verse “God keep our land glorious and free” was a bit of a surprise. Didn’t think Canadians invoked God as Americans do in their national songs.

That’s a nice one. I like the polar bear photo. I can imagine them composing a verse to save the sea ice up there. U.S. patriots probably wouldn’t be comfortable singing the UK anthem, but they could hum the tune since they stole it for ‘My Country ‘Tis of Thee’. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8KSAtos-dk
Polar bears petition to insert a verse in ‘Oh Canada’ -
Oh Canada
Please save our icy realm
May seals remain
in our domain
Puffins on Baffin
And tar sands in the ground.
(Polar bears are not good with verse. They wanted to say that tar sands should remain in the ground or the rest of their world will melt. Perhaps Burt will help?)

Changing the words to our national anthem—hey man, that’s sacrilege! ;-)
And by the way, it’s O Canada, not Oh Canada.
Well, it turns out that the favour was graciously returned (see link below).
(I’m guessing that the arena’s screen displayed the lyrics to our anthem as the fans seem to be looking up when singing – even though the lyrics are relatively easy to remember and must be heard by Americans fairly often at sporting events.)

I don’t think we invoke as such; just sort of mention him in passing.

This would make a great political cartoon: An indignant Trudeau says to a dismissive Trump, “It’s not Oh, Canada . . . it’s O Canada!”.
