Brexit brought her down.  It’s hard for nations to get a divorce, especially when one of them is made up of more than one country.  Boris Johnson is perhaps next in line, but he will face the same issue.  May end up going back to the people.

Not Martin, but….

Conservative Politicians lied to the people about how much the EU was costing Britain.

The UK populace then had a referendum about staying in the EU or leaving.  They voted to leave by a wide margin - and many of those who voted to leave are remorseful, as they were reaction voting to make a point, and may not actually have wanted to leave (or clearly understood the implications of leaving).
Now that the referendum has passed, Britain is working toward a ‘graceful’ withdrawal from the EU, but is finding it to be time consuming, expensive, and drastically complicated from both economic and labour management perspectives.

Ultimately they are going to have to exit, but the EU is not actively assisting this move, and the UK politicians are still struggling to make it work.  AND the UK economy is suffering for it.  But the billionaires who wanted the withdrawal are still quietly cheering because they’re in a position to take advantage of the turmoil, while Jane and Joe citizen are feeling the crunch as EU Job markets are becoming more difficult, if not closing, for them.

It was a bad move, made in haste, with no good plan of implementation. But the conservatives wanted it (and were willing to lie to get it) ... presumably because life was getting a little too comfortable for the ordinary citizen of the UK.

Thanks, jefe.  It sounds like the standard crap of blaming someone else for one’s difficulties and pining for a time when all was right with the world.  It also sounds like Britain is trying to make a deal when they are in no position to make one, meaning they want to keep the EU around for booty calls.
