Instead of raising the women soccer payers’ pay to match the men’s, they should lower the men’s to match the women’s. That ought to make you both happy.

If I am one of both, that wouldn’t make me happy because I already regret saying the men’s team sucks and no one gives a shit.  They are a decent team, and they have a lot of fans.  They are just not as good or as popular as the women’s.  In any case, in general I’m against making someone worse of just to insure equality when someone else can be made better off to insure the same.

No one watches women’s soccer so no money, get as big as men’s and the money will be there.

I read that the women’s team generates more income.  If that is so, it is even worse that they don’t get paid as much.  If that is wrong, then I stand corrected.  But a lot of people were watching the women win the championship in France.

Most viewers of U.S. men’s team non-World Cup telecasts (English language)
USA vs. Argentina (2016 Copa America semifinal): 3.3 million (FS1)
USA vs. Mexico (2019 Gold Cup final): 2.88 million (FS1)
Mexico vs. USA (World Cup qualifying, 2013): 2.39 million (ESPN)
USA vs. Mexico (World Cup qualifying, 2013): 2.24 million (ESPN)
USA vs. Panama (2013 Gold Cup final): 2.1 million (Fox)

Most viewers of U.S. women’s team telecasts (English language)
USA vs. Japan (2015 World Cup final): 25.4 million (Fox)
USA vs. China (1999 World Cup final): 18.0 million (ABC)
USA vs. Netherlands (2019 World Cup final): 14.2 million (Fox)
USA vs. Japan (2011 World Cup final): 13.5 milion (ESPN)
USA vs. Germany (2015 World Cup semifinal): 8.4 million (Fox)

Are you saying that the women need to have less viewers to get the money?  Or are you now agreeing that they should be getting paid?  We can’t compare viewership of men’s world cup finals appearances… since they’ve never been.

It’s not based on a/these select events, it’s day to day views overall. If there were big money in it they would get paid more money because networks and ads want more money, that is how it works. If they or you are unhappy with what the league, networks and ads pay, quit playing or demand more, they will either lose or win… That is better then wasting your time here implying the world must hate the poor poor woman because they don’t make them rich for playing fucking soccer.

U.S. Soccer breaks post-World Cup silence on equal pay, but issues persist

I read it as the men and women have negotiated different pay structures.  This is a good time to renegotiate the contract.

If they can, that is how it works. But what kills me is they are getting 100K’s for playing a game and complaining it isn’t enough.

Soccer is entertainment and everyone deserves to negotiate as much pay as they can for their job.  One suggestion would be to ask for the same contract the men have.

I admit to ignorance about the women’s complaint, and believe they may use whatever legal methods to get what they want.

Provide evidence that backs up your claims.  Either you have it, and you are making a logical argument… or you are ignoring the evidence and making an irrational argument.

I provided you evidence.  Either you have something to dispute that, or you don’t.  If you don’t have evidence to dispute it, then you’re just talking out your ass.
