Ethical consumerism matters!  The actual role of social media in contemporary society particularly regarding its efficacy is that it is an engine for social change.  Social change in an era of Climate Change.  In the volatility of a ‘Far Right’ led political climate.  In a global economy swooning in debt, where debt ‘fragilizes’ the economy.  Ethical consumerism is not your voice that matters so much but rather your action.  To take a stand in society you must also learn how to sit.  This is being New Millennial no matter your generation.  Ethical consumerism (not conscious consumerism) casts your democratic vote every time you practice it in your life.  This is the beginning of building an interdependent support system and empowerment to community.  Conscious Consumerism (the left hand path) lends itself to the Ethical Consumer who assumes the role of being ‘woke’ (community minded) for those who decidedly continue to dwell in the complacency of Consumerist global capitalism,, still sitting on the fence.  That does not mean those people are ‘unawoke’ (that would have a religious connotation) (stay with me now, lol) it simply means they are ignorant to the power of putting their voice to action.
