New Senator Tommy Tuberville today explained to the good citizens of Alabama who elected him that the 3 branches of government are “executive, House, and Senate.  Wrong - executive, legislative, judicial. He also revealed that his father fought in world war 2 and told him about the people of Paris who were so happy to be freed from socialism and communism.  Except that it was naziism. Now we understand why Alabama voted for Trump.  But Tuberville was a good football coach - I guess.

It doesn’t matter that the facts are wrong; what matters are the right wing buzzwords.

9 out of 10 Americans couldn’t give you a coherent definition of socialism.

Obama was supposed to send all conservative Christians to Muslim concentration camps back in 09. He sure is taking his sweet time.

Speaking of guns, will Trump join the Proud Boys, designing a uniform for himself and them?  https://allanishac.medium.com/trump-will-wear-old-military-academy-uniform-for-parade-spectacle-ae489fc85e91

https://www.aol.com/article/news/2020/11/16/rage-tweets-and-tv-a-vision-of-a-trump-post-presidency-begins-to-emerge/24693112/

Among those in attendance at what had been billed as the Million MAGA March but was, in fact, a significantly smaller event, were members of violent white supremacist organizations like the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers. They did not need much more than a presidential wave to know that Trump was on their side — and they on his.

A serious question:  How far will Trump erode democracy before the Republicans balk?  Never, since their constituency doesn’t want majority rule?

What is not reassuring is that 1) it took such a gargantuan effort just to get 152 million to vote, that this may be as good as we can do; and 2) since the GOP did well in the majority of state legislatures in a census year, they will be able to gerrymander for another 10 years.  The majority of the population will be held hostage by the minority through gerrymandering and the fact that so many small states are GOP and get the same number of Senators as large states.

Senate-wise, are we talking about the U.S. being governed by a white supremacist minority?  Trump as the de facto president continuing to stir up division?
