In a double-play of selfish politicking, DeSantis had planned to open a pop-up clinic in an affluent, white, GOP-friendly neighborhood for his ‘friends/supporters’. When criticized for his tone-deafness, he threatened to withhold the vaccine for regions where he was heavily criticized for his political favoritism.
R-Fl DeSantis. Corruption knows thy name…
I live in Florida and I doubt there’s more than a handful of people who hate DeSantis more than me. Still, I don’t think he was threatening to withhold the vaccine. I think that’s either a poor or an intentionally disingenuous interpretation of what he was saying.

The evidence suggests you may be wrong. I"m willing to see evidence that corrects this, however.
He knows, and everyone else knows, that Manatee County wants the vaccine so his quote wasn’t a threat. And “threatening” to put the vaccine where people will actually take it isn’t exactly draconian.
Listen, I practically have a monopoly on DeSantis hate but this is garbage reporting that is pretending he said something he didn’t.
There’s so many reasons to hate DeSantis we don’t need to make up new ones.
The commissioner of the pop-up put herself and the development CEO on the VIP list.
Another pop-up site was recently located at a country club, which gave priority to members. Say what you want, but the site location for this stuff is pretty disgusting.
If the claim is that he’s favoring rich whites over poor blacks and giving preferential treatment to his cronies I’ll readily agree. He’s a racist, classist, nepotistic, murdering thug.
That doesn’t change that the press is intentionally misinterpreting what he said.
The solution is simple.
