In your opinion, will Trump ever be prosecuted for tax fraud and tax evasion?  For inciting a riot and trying to overthrow the U.S. government?  For causing thousands of deaths by dispensing false statements about the covid-19 pandemic?

After the Civil War, Jefferson Davis was charged with treason but only received a 2-year prison sentence.  Robert E. Lee wasn’t imprisoned and moved to Lexington, Virginia to become president of a college.  Is Trump protected from prosecution by the tens of millions who support him today?

Nope.  I’d wager money that he’ll make some kind of plea-deal to give up others in exchange for no-jail-time.

Rudi’s NY apartment was just searched.

The ghoul would totally sell out Trump if that saved his ass from jail and some of his money.

No. Period.

NPR article from last August:  https://www.npr.org/2020/07/28/894891884/watch-attorney-general-barr-set-to-testify-on-justice-department-oversight

quote:  “The message these actions send is clear: In this Justice Department, the president’s [Trump’s] enemies will be punished. His friends will be protected — no matter the cost, no matter the cost to liberty, no matter the cost to justice,” Nadler said.  (end quote)

https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2020/11/trumps-lies-about-coronavirus/608647/  How many died because of Trump’s lies?  50,000?  200,000?  Why are covid-19 deaths in the U.S. up there with Brazil?

https://www.statista.com/statistics/1093256/novel-coronavirus-2019ncov-deaths-worldwide-by-country/

Then there’s George Floyd, killed in public by police after resisting arrest . . . after he passed a counterfeit $20?

quote:  “George Floyd transcript reveals last moments: ‘Momma, I love you. Tell my kids I love them. I’m dead’
Mr Floyd called out for his children and late mother and said officers would “kill” him before he died in police custody.”

There are currently open investigations in NY and GA.  I don’t think we’re going to know how those are going to play out for a few more months.  No one is going to take a former president to trial without two sets of ducks in a row.

If tax fraud/tax evasion is one row of ducks, could his status as leader of domestic terrorism be another row of ducks?

The world knows that the Saudi Crown Prince authorized the killing of Washington Post journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.  https://www.nytimes.com/2021/02/26/us/politics/jamal-khashoggi-killing-cia-report.html

When Trump incited the mob to storm the Capitol on January 6 and his rioters broke in and searched the halls for Mike Pence, Nancy Pelosi and others . . . . was the Vice President, the Speaker, Senator Romney and others in danger?  If they had been kidnapped, injured or killed, would Trump have been held responsible for inspiring the insurgents?

If the governor of Michigan, Gretchen Whitner, had been kidnapped, injured or killed by Trump’s supporters, would he have been charged for his ‘dog whistle’ signals to domestic terrorist groups?  https://www.courthousenews.com/suspects-in-plot-to-kidnap-michigan-governor-face-new-charges/

Is there any doubt among domestic terrorists and white supremacists that they will almost unanimously vote for Trump if he is a presidential candidate in 2024?  Any doubt among them that he is their leader?

Q:  Is Trump . . . David Duke’s successor?  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Duke

No doubt at all.

Besides white supremacists and gun-worshiping Clint Eastwood wannabees, you can add Christian fascists, and scared white people full of resentment and white grievance.

For what it’s worth, I think the Manhattan district attorney is going to nail Trump and his crime family.

Is it generally understood that Trump incited a mob to attack the U.S. Capitol on January 6 and nullify the 2020 election results?

In the 2020 election, the majority of white people voted for Trump.  https://www.vox.com/2020/11/7/21551364/white-trump-voters-2020

Since the majority in the military are white is it reasonable to assume the military supports Trump?

Can this help to explain the absence of the National Guard when the Capitol was being attacked and legislators threatened on January 6?

During his 4 years in the White House, is it clear that Trump was moving to establish himself as supreme commander of the military, and that he would use the military to insure his victory in future elections?  Is this what he means by MAKING AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?

Is it clear that Trump’s paramilitary supporters and domestic terrorists are standing by, ready and willing to attack his ‘ENEMIES OF THE PEOPLE’ (his critics) when he give the word?  First he must secure the loyalty of the military?

quote:  “How did Hitler get absolute power?
Hitler became Führer: when Hindenburg died, Hitler declared himself jointly president, chancellor and head of the army. Members of the armed forces had to swear a personal oath of allegiance not to Germany, but to Hitler. This formally made Hitler the absolute ruler of Germany.”

Remember when Trump demanded loyalty from head of the FBI James Comey?  Didn’t want truth . . . wanted loyalty.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dismissal_of_James_Comey#:~:text=Trump’s dismissal of Comey on,as well as other issues.

Only just begun?

Commander in Botch

Australia has a population approaching 26 million, mostly concentrated along the east coast.  So far 910 Australians have died from Covid-19.
given the In U.S. population of 328 million, that same proportion of deaths would be about 11,000.  However, with Commander Botch in charge, over 500,000 Americans died from the covid-19 pandemic.
