wrong move, IMO.

FB could let him back on with clear stipulations of the lower threshold of banning a non-President.

This way, Trump would be off FB of good within a month.
Better now than closer to the Midterms.

I still don’t understand why people like and/or believe his lies.

You never will. Don’t waste any energy on it.

I’m glad Facebook has banned Trump. It slows the dissemination of his poisonous lies.

Even though he’s banned from social media, the Republican party has carried on like good soldiers supporting dear leader Trump. His base still worship him. They are trying to purge the party of anyone who doesn’t buy into Trump’s Big Lie about the election being stolen.

We are living in an Orwellian time.

I’m afraid what will happen if these crazy people regain power. The Nazi’s were a big joke and considered ignoramuses, until suddenly they were in power. America will have it’s own hybrid form of fascism if Trump becomes president again. Trump and his enablers will have learned from his first presidency. If they get a second chance, they will go full-on fascist.

This is my great fear, and we shouldn’t take the prospects of Trump 2.0 lightly. Or a President Donald Trump Jr. Or a few more Marjorie Taylor Greenes and Lauren Boeberts in Congress.

With Republican voter suppression attempts in full swing, and Fox, Newsmax, et al doubling down on their insanity (while still enjoying a great deal of popularity), we are always just a few votes away from a nightmare scenario. Scary.

Quite.  Republicans have taught us a weakness of the Constitution, that if their party controls a branch of Congress then they will absolve all crimes by their members.
