‘The View from the Center of the Universe - Discovering our Extraordinary Place in the Cosmos’ by Joel R. Primack and Nancy Ellen Abrams. Now in paperback.
I haven’t read this yet, but saw them interviewed by McLaughlin - (an interrupting, annoying interviewer). At the link below, click on Amazon to read customer reviews. (Publisher’s Weekly = thumbs down. Scientific American = thumbs up.)
(Notice that people who read this book also read Dawkins).
Hmmm… I’ve only read the preface and the intro from the website, and it sounds like there is some interesting stuff in there - but when they keep coming back to the idea that humans have a special role in the universe I begin to smell woo.
Of course, this is a knee-jerk reaction. I suppose I’ll have to go read it now.
I see Holism.
